My husband and I knew we were ready to buy our first home, but did not know where to start. We heard all of the stressful house shopping stories and then heard those that were a breeze. We were recommended Janice Dubois through many and told how amazing she was, but it is always scary stepping in to something new, with someone new, especially when you are completely unaware of the process and the “in’s and out’s” of buying a home. We felt stirred to take a step and contact Janice Dubois to be our agent, not really having a prior relationship, we still felt like this is who we needed to reach out to… THIS WAS THE BEST DECISION! She is not just amazing in finding the home, but amazing in the correspondence every step of the way, and explaining all the details that you may feel go right over your head. When she schedules her appointments, you have all of her attention and time. She is patient, and will walk you through each home as many times as you need to see it, she will give you her honest and raw thoughts on the condition of the home, she will respectfully fight and push for the best options and is honest when dealing with sellers. She is available to answer as many phone calls and as many questions as you have! She has never pushed us to make any decisions. If we seemed unsure, she would suggest us wait and come back to it, or ask us intentional questions to make us think on a deeper level/come to a conclusion. She is more concerned about her clients than she is on “selling a home”. She ensures you are satisfied with not just the physical home, but also the location, and appearance. She tell the truths of all of the home details, whether they are good or bad, as if she were buying it for herself. After receiving several options for us to look over, we found our home after the 3rd house walk through!!! It is ours today and we are still 100% confident in the location, home, and decision in buying our home! I first met Carol in 1998. She was working for a builder in the Gate House in Baton Rouge. It was our first custom built house and Carol was right there holding our hand through the whole process. We worked out of town a lot, so Carol and my 19yr old daughter handled everything. Then when it was time to sell our home and move to Texas 3 1/2yrs ago, she was the only agent I considered. We were living in Colombia, South America. My husband was helping build a new refinerythere so we were not back in the states much. Carol handled everything with the sell of the Baton Rouge home through emails. My husband didn’t even have to come home for the closing! She guided me through getting a power of attorney so that he wouldn’t have to lose time at work in Colombia. My husband passed away within a year after moving to Texas so I decided to sell our camp in Terry Harbor, Springfield. Again, I was not living in Louisiana so Carol handled everything with the sell of the house over the phone, text and e-mail. I totally trusted Carol every step of the way with all 3 homes. The best way to describe Janice is a “Home Run”! I randomly met her at my first showing( which was terrible) but she made me feel so comfortable!
